Thomas G. O’Neil, K.C.

Tom focuses on civil litigation pertaining to commercial and construction disputes and products liability.

Tom is a senior litigator and professional engineer who provides legal counsel as well as leadership in matters involving commercial and construction disputes as well as products liability.

He leads the Saint John office of Pink Larkin.

His wealth of experience has resulted in him being a sought-after litigator, mediator/arbitrator, and strategic advisor to companies in the private sector, such as construction, property development, energy, natural resources, insurance and manufacturing as well as public institutions and governments.

For many years he has been recognized as a leading lawyer for Class Action Litigation, Construction Law, and Corporate and Commercial Litigation in Best Lawyers in Canada, and ranks in the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory. He is consistently recognized for Construction Law by Chambers Canada, and as Provincial Litigation Star under Commercial, Product Liability, Insurance, and Construction Law in Benchmark Canada.

A proud New Brunswicker, Tom is a member of the Law Society of New Brunswick, Saint John Law Society, Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of New Brunswick, Canadian Bar Association, and a fellow of the Canadian College of Construction Lawyers and American College of Trial Lawyers.

He is a former President of the New Brunswick Branch of the Canadian Bar Association, and a past Chair of the Board for Service New Brunswick and of Power Commission for the City of Saint John. He is currently a director of the Saint John Port Authority.

Tom is an alumnus of the University of New Brunswick and received his Queen’s Counsel designation in 1992.
