David J. Roberts

For several years, David has been voted among the Best Lawyers in Canada for Labour and Employment Law.

A partner in the Halifax office of Pink Larkin, David is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Canadian Association of Labour Lawyers. He is active in most aspects of labour, employment and administrative law and regularly appears before the courts, arbitration tribunals and labour boards at both the provincial and federal levels. He advocates for his clients at hearings and helps guide them to settlements when possible.

David was recently selected by his peers for inclusion in the Best Lawyers in Canada® 2019 in the field of Labour and Employment Law. David has represented trade union clients at commissions of inquiry involving occupational health and safety and the treatment of persons with mental illness within the justice system. He appears before the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board as Consumer Advocate in hearings concerning the regulation of petroleum products and the regulation of payday loans.

Before becoming a lawyer, David was a broadcast journalist and since 1992 has served as a judge for the Atlantic Journalism Awards.
