Pink Larkin is pleased to announce that Andrew Nielsen has been admitted to partnership, effective February 1, 2015.

Andy represents the firm’s trade union clients in both Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island, and is called to the Bar in both provinces. In his labour practice, he appears regularly before arbitrators and labour boards, and in the courts. He has been involved in a number of significant successes for the firm’s clients, including the recent and high-profile IATSE, Local 849 v. Egg Films Inc., which was heard by the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal (the Employer’s leave application to the Supreme Court of Canada was dismissed).

Andy also practices in the area of professional regulation, representing both professional bodies and individuals subject to discipline. He is particularly interested in technology and privacy issues, regularly appearing in court on behalf of the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society in matters related to electronic search and seizure and solicitor-client privilege.
