Mary Rolf

Both precise and practical, Mary channels her passion for human rights, constitutional law, and equity issues into her client-centric, strategic legal approach. As an associate at Pink Larkin, Mary advocates for a diverse range of clientele in matters related to labour law, employment law, and litigation.

A strong advocate, Mary represents clients in administrative proceedings, arbitrations, judicial reviews, and appellate cases. In her legal practice, Mary has appeared before the Nova Scotia Supreme Court, Nova Scotia Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Canada, where she works tirelessly on behalf of her clients.

Mary recognizes the pivotal role she plays as her client’s advocate; she gained this understanding in her legal education at Dalhousie University. During this period, she completed a placement at Dalhousie Legal Aid Service, assisting clients in family law, criminal law, and poverty law matters. Mary further developed her practical skills representing Dalhousie at the McKelvey Trial Advocacy Moot.

In addition to her work at Pink Larkin, Mary is a member of the CBA and the Advocates’ Society’s Young Advocates Standing Committee for the Atlantic region. Outside the realm of law, Mary pursues interests such as indoor bouldering and running, and she cherishes moments with friends, family, and her retired racing greyhound.
