Grace Levy

Interested in the intersection of law, human rights, and labour relations, Grace works with clients on a broad range of legal matters. At Pink Larkin, Grace is a member of the labour and employment law and the civil litigation groups, practicing in the Halifax office.

In her litigation practice, Grace provides advocacy in civil litigation cases, focusing on complex construction and commercial disputes. She also works with public and private-sector labour unions in her labour & employment practice, as well as assists individual employees and employers on a variety of workplace-related issues (drafting and reviewing employment contracts, severance package reviews, accommodation issues, etc.).

Grace received her law degree and certificate in Criminal Justice from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University. While at law school, Grace developed her legal advocacy skills by completing a placement with the Dalhousie Legal Aid Clinic and assisting with multiple pro bono projects. She also demonstrated her commitment to social justice and the rights of persons with disabilities, receiving the Dianne Pothier Memorial Prize for her work in the legal aid clinic and for high academic achievement.

Before attending law school, Grace obtained her B.A. and M.A. degrees in Russian Studies and Russian and Eastern European Affairs. During her M.A., her thesis research focused on the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Russia, and she completed a lengthy internship with a media-monitoring NGO in Budapest, Hungary. She is also on a Canadian roster of international election observers and participated in the OSCE’s parliamentary election observation mission in Ukraine in 2019.

In her free time, she enjoys playing soccer and intramural sports and watching Jeopardy. Proud to live in Nova Scotia, Grace enjoys exploring the province and spends as much time as possible in her favourite locations, the Annapolis Valley region and Cape Breton.
