David Roberts

David is a distinguished legal professional who draws upon his extensive experience to provide strategic counsel for clients. As a partner based in the Halifax office, David primarily focuses on labour, employment, and administrative law. He routinely appears before courts, arbitration tribunals, and labour boards at both provincial and federal levels, advocating for clients and facilitating settlements when feasible.

In his practice, David represents trade union clients in a wide range of matters, including issues related to occupational health and safety, collective bargaining and general grievance arbitration.  Additionally, David is actively involved in proceedings before the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board, where he serves as Consumer Advocate in hearings related to electrical utilities, the regulation of petroleum products and payday loans.

Acknowledged by his peers, David is included in the Best Lawyers in Canada®  for his contributions to the field of Labour and Employment Law. He tries to be constructive in his approach to labour issues and solve issues before they become big problems.

A dedicated professional, David is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Canadian Association of Labour Lawyers.
